Why Give to Others?
The Center's Dale Perryman spent his 28th
birthday in an unusual place. In January 1991, he was lost on a
mountain in sub-freezing weather and would eventually spend 3 days
and 2 nights completely alone, fighting to stay alive. His life
was ultimately saved by a volunteer rescuer. By providing
his services to other volunteers, Dale wants to pass on the
assistance that was given to him. [Read

The Benefits
As part of this program, Dale Perryman trained, then
facilitated a strategic planning session for the Board of Directors of Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
Dale conducted a leadership seminar and delivered the keynote presentation for
disabled students sponsored by REACH and The Foundation For the
Blind of Dallas. He has also conducted training on motivation and
effectiveness for managers of volunteer programs. These managers
represented more than 1,000 nonprofit agencies throughout Dallas County.
